Walmart's Shipment

We were given a list of features & two rough screens to work off from with tight deadline. Our responsibilities: information architecture, wire framing, designing, & prototype.
Walmart's Shipment Tracking app's goal is to facilitate store managers and staff with information about trucks and goods (load) ETA, volume, and inventory. This app's function to be deployed nationally in order to better manage staff allocation, timeframes, and shipments reducing costs and creating a better information experience.

Site map

We created a simple  layout with three main screens & two sub screens to track the shipment of trucks

Overall Design

Working off the rough frames we were given,
we enhanced the overall design & layout

Sketching

We begin the creative wireframing process by sketching out quick concepts and
mockups, moving to defining the user experience and planning a site map.

Wireframing

We began by wire framing & sketching out quick concepts,
defining the user experience and planning a flow.

Overall Design

The design was created by generating a concise information architecture plan. Adding to this, a clear flow and content navigation enhanced by a friendly and intuitive UI.

Overall Design

The design employs a proportional mobile first approach, wherein linked typographic and grid systems are scaled via percentage font-sizes on the body tag. This method makes it a breeze to control layouts across all screen sizes, devices and resolutions with a single declaration

"It is really easy to use. It combines the visual experience of Uber and the functional use of a calendar."

Debra Shea, user tester

The Web

A responsive and accessible web app was designed to provide Walgreens staff access to the system.

THe live PROTOTYPE

Prototyping accelerates requirement development phase.
The use of prototyping helped to lower requirements ambiguity & project risks.
